Comberton Sixth Form

There are a number of ways that WCCYM is involved in Comberton Sixth Form:

  • CHRISTIAN UNION – Youth workers linked to WCCYM help to support a Christian Union that happens on a  Friday lunchtime in SIX1, where there is discussion around issues of life and faith. So if you’re at Comberton Sixth Form, join us on Friday lunchtime in SIX1.
  • HOT CHOCOLATES – Youth workers from WCCYM go into college once a week to give out hot drinks and biscuits, providing an opportunity to chat to young people and get to know them. This is happening on a Friday lunchtime.
  • PD (PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT) LESSONS – WCCYM youthworkers are asked to lead specific sessions for Sixth Form students – eg on relationships.
  • ASSEMBLIES  – Youth workers will sometimes go into assemblies to let students know about upcoming events, and about the regular activities WCCYM runs.
  • SUPPORTING OTHER AREAS OF THE SIXTH FORM – Youth workers are sometimes involved in mentoring students in pastoral issues. They may also be involved in helping out where needed.
