Isaiah58

Isaiah58 is a project inspired by the words of God, spoken through an Old Testament prophet - Isaiah. There and throughout the Bible, God clearly shows his heart for justice and for those who are in need. He wants us to show that concern in the way we live our lives – by putting our faith into action. And that’s what the Isaiah58 project is all about.

How does it work? Isaiah58 enables young people to put faith into action by serving in their local communities. That might mean gardening for an elderly person, painting a room for someone who cannot do it themselves or being part of a village litter pick.

One Saturday morning a month, teams of young people will be getting out and about in a village near you. Each team will have a leader and will help out in the village in practical ways. That could be gardening, painting or chopping up firewood. If you want to get involved, you’ll need to get in touch with the Isaiah58 co-ordinator in your village. You must be in School Year 9 or above to take part, and if you’re under 18 you need to get your parent or guardian to complete a consent form (see link below). Remember to wear old clothes and strong shoes – you might even get dirty…
