Creative Arts
We believe in you using the creative gifts you've got and developing them to their potential.   Most weeks a group of teenage musicians meet to make music and rehearse together.  We lead the (musical) worship at our regular Christian youth services, Thirst and Synergy.  If you're more into the visual or dramatic arts we have recently bought our own digital camcorder so we can make and edit our own short amateur videos.  Contact us for more info or if you would like to be involved.

The Long Sleep
Written by Matt Watts
Saturday, 24 November 2007

The Producer and Directors WCCYM is producing a musical! "The Long Sleep" written by Ed Cooke is set in Shady Chicago where an innocent man is on Death Row. Performances will be in the last week of the spring term (16th-23rd March).

We want as many people from WCCYM and local churches to get involved in helping to make this prodution really professional. So we're calling all techies, costume designers, prompters, singers, musicians and actors to join in.

Auditions for actors will take place in the first week of term in January. We'd love adults to get involved too, so please pass this on to as many people as possible...

If you love making music and want an opportunity to play regularly in a Christian worship context with other young people who are musicians, then why not join us on Wednesday nights at Comberton Baptist Church, 7:30-9 pm (during term-times)?  It is out of these evenings that we develop musicians to be part of the band leading worship at Thirst and Synergy, and special events.  We typically have drums, bass, guitars, keyboard, and vocals.  We have also had flute, sax, clarinet, percussion, violin.  All standards welcome, and a willingness to explore the Christian faith.
